On to the next step!

So, here we go again. I graduated with my Associates in Nursing (RN) in May.

(and now)

I've started back to school. Just yesterday I got to sign in to my 3 classes.

Spanish I
(Hoping that my wonderful Spanish speaking family can help tutor me through this)

Nutrition
(I hope this kinda sticks in the back of my head for my own use)

History of America to 1877
(required, but I've had it all through school....hoping it's easy)

I'm going back for my bachelors degree in nursing this time. I should be able to complete the full program within 2 1/2 to 3 years. Then I'll be ready to start towards my masters degree.
I still want to be a nurse midwife.
I'm hoping the job market opens up in this area by the time I complete this step. But, my dream is to open up my own family birth center. I have no clue what it will take to accomplish that, but I'll figure that out when I get closer.

In all of this I hope to show Palmer that nothing is out of his reach.
I want to enjoy this journey with my best friend and our favorite little sidekick. And, hopefully, we can add another little sidekick to our crew, but that's proving to be quite a challenge.

Right now I'm working night shift at Regional Hospital in Jackson.
I love it!
I work hard and don't always enjoy every aspect of my job, but it's a different area of helping patients that I haven't experienced until this point.
Thankfully, I'll be going to day shift next month.
I do hate to leave the crew I've been working with the last month though.

I am still picking up a shift or two here and there at the nursing home, but with working 4 days a week at the hospital I've had to cut back there. I love that I'm able to continue to be a part of the place that has been a part of our lives for so long now.

Palmer is playing football this fall with Chad as his coach. Palmer is so excited to have his daddy coaching him.

In a nutshell, I love my life! I'm so lucky to have my best friend with me, supporting every step of the way, and Palmer brings so much joy. I'm so thankful to have reached one goal and to be working on another step in my goal.

Thanks for reading!
